Omid Jalali, M.D. is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon who provides comprehensive and individualized care to adults with conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine and general orthopedic surgery. Dr. Jalali utilizes next generation technology throughout your care pathway to tailor your care to your individual needs and help each patient regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve quality life through the least invasive means possible.
Dr. Jalali grew up in Irvine, California. He completed his undergraduate education at UC Berkeley where he was a double major in premed studies and business and graduated Cum Laude from the prestigious Haas School of Business. During his undergraduate years, Dr. Jalali received numerous leadership and academic all-American awards as he was captain of the NCAA division I soccer team and became UC Berkeley’s first ever PAC 12 scholar athlete of the year.
He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California (USC) where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was a Deans research scholar award recipient. He went to UC San Diego for his Orthopedic Surgery residency and completed his fellowship at the world-renowned University of Utah Orthopedic Spine Fellowship. Across residency and fellowship, Dr. Jalali was trained by legends in the field of spine surgery including Dr. Steven Garfin, Dr. Darrel Brodke, and Dr. Brandon Lawrence.
Dr. Jalali has published extensively in orthopedic surgery and spine surgery including numerous textbook chapters and peer reviewed articles. He consistently presents his work at regional and national conferences and has been selected as a podium presenter at national orthopedic conferences.
